With a Mexican heart and a Caribbean soul, Cozumel is a paradise where tradition, flavor and joy come together.
Famous all over the world for its coral reefs, there are plenty of water sports such as diving, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and more. With its beautiful beaches and exotic locale, Cozumel is an ideal destination where honeymooners can enjoy colorful and breathtaking sunsets, moonlit walks on secluded beaches, swim through crystal clear blue waters and romantic candlelight dinners.
The swim is an in-water start in the sea swim and start and finishes at CHANKANAAB park beach. Water temperature for the month of September in Cozumel is likely to be around 26°C, therefore wetsuits will not be permitted on the one lap rectangular shaped course.
The bike course starts and finishes at the CHANKANAAB park, using the Cozumel island main road. The course is flat, paved in good conditions and with a few sharp corners, and will be totally closed to vehicle traffic. We recommend that you take two water bottles during this segment of the race.
The marathon course is two laps on a 13.1 mile circuit, starting at the CHANKANAAB park towards Cozumel downtown. Just as on the bike, the roads will be closed to vehicle traffic. You will find aid stations every other km with Gatorade, water, ice, PowerBar (bars and gel), Vaseline, Coke and medical assistance.

For many people flying into Cancun Airport can save $200 to $400 compared to flights to Cozumel and may be a direct flight from their city. Extra service available - Complete bike unpack and assemble $50
Included in the package is the services of a mechanic but we ask that you unpack your bike and loosely assemble which means putting the wheels on, hand tighten the pedals, and bars. The mechanic will then tighten everything and make all needed adjustments to the gears and brakes. If you prefer to just hand your bike case to the mechanic he will unpack and completely assemble your bike for $50. If after the race you want the mechanic to disassemble and pack your bike this can also be done for a $50 charge

An All-Inclusive Resort is a friendly and cozy all inclusive resort. The all-inclusive program includes accommodations, all meals and snacks, and unlimited alcoholic beverages and soft drinks available at four restaurants and three bars.
The Resort is located on the south side of Cozumel, only 20 minutes from downtown, 25 minutes from the airport and just a few minutes by boat from Cozumel main reefs. With 2000 feet of white sand beach, this complex is an excellent place to enjoy your Ironman visit.

For this race we do a ground only package so please feel free to go online and arrange a flight that is best for you with regards to dates, flight itinerary and price. There are two options for getting to Cozumel. You can either fly directly into Cozumel and we will provide the transfer to the Wyndham Resort or you can fly into Cancun and for an additional $90 roundtrip we will provide the transfer to Playa del Carmen, the ferry ride to Cozumel and the transfer to the Wyndham Resort.
Auto
While in Cozumel you will not need a car as we will provide all local transport and will do course tours for those wishing to see the bike and run courses.

There are a great number of snorkeling and scuba diving just off shore and some quite beaches for relaxing. A long day trip or overnight trip will get you to some incredible ruins and pyramids. Play del Carmen and Cancun can also be done as day trips.
