Ironman Germany takes place in and around the city of Frankfurt on July 4, 2010. An incredibly fast course with huge crowds that will remind you of scenes from the Tour de France are part of what makes this race one that many athletes want to add to their list of Ironman races. The run takes place within the city and has such high energy that you can feel the crowd carrying you home to the finish.

The 2010 race is the official European Ironman Championship which will add even more publicity and prestige to this great event. Also, there are 120 Kona slots up for grabs. If you are already registered for the sold out 2010 race, EST would love to help you with your trip!

Extra service available - Complete bike unpack and assemble $50

Included in the package is the services of a mechanic but we ask that you unpack your bike and loosely assemble which means putting the wheels on, hand tighten the pedals, and bars. The mechanic will then tighten everything and make all needed adjustments to the gears and brakes. If you prefer to just hand your bike case to the mechanic he will unpack and completely assemble your bike for $50. If after the race you want the mechanic to disassemble and pack your bike this can also be done for a $50 charge

InterCity Hotel Frankfurt

The InterCity Hotel Frankfurt is an upscale hotel located in the west side of the city center, approximately 1km from the start/finish area of Ironman Germany. It sits next to the Hauptbanhof, the main train station in Frankfurt. The hotel is modern and has all the amenities needed to relax, workout or conduct business. The hotel has 384 Guest rooms and offers a free tram/bus pass to tour the city.

Air Travel

For this race we do a ground only package so please feel free to go online and arrange a flight that is best for you with regards to dates, flight itinerary and price. There are direct flights from many cities throughout the world to Frankfurt. Once you have made your Air Travel please email us with your itinerary so we can properly arrange your ground transportation.

Auto

You will not need a car in Frankfurt the week of the race as we provide the airport transfers as well as course tours and local transportation. Each day we go to the swim area which is located about 12k from the city where the bike to run transition and the race finish are located.

Visa

Citizens of most countries including the US and Canada do not need a Visa but you should check to make sure you do not need a Visa if you are from another country.

 

There are many great day trips for athletes and their families that can be done with local tour companies or by taking a train to nearby cities and villages. While we do not have any prearranged day trips in or around Frankfurt, we have a number of suggestions that we would be happy to share with you.
